This app is designed to import RMSSD and HRV data from Eight Sleep into Apple Health with as little data handling as possible.
The app asks the user to enter their Eight Sleep email address and password so it can authenticate directly with Eight Sleep services.
The app stores credentials and session data locally on the iPhone.
With the user’s Health permission, the app reads heart rate variability and sleep analysis data from Apple Health.
The app writes imported RMSSD or HRV samples into Apple Health.
Eight Sleep credentials are used only to sign in to Eight Sleep and retrieve data needed for import.
Apple Health data is used to support import behavior, including checking existing imported HRV samples and reacting to sleep data so imports can stay current.
The app may use background refresh and Health background delivery to run imports without requiring the app to be open.
The app does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or social login.
There is no developer-run cloud account system for this app.
The app connects directly to Eight Sleep services and Apple Health to do its job.
The developer does not operate a separate backend for this app and does not collect or store this data on a developer-run server.
Other than the direct connection to Eight Sleep and Apple Health that is required for the import, the app does not share user data with third parties.
Stored credentials and session data remain on the device until the user disconnects, clears stored session data in the app, or deletes the app.
Imported health samples written by the app remain in Apple Health until the user deletes them in Apple Health.
If the user wants to stop using the app, they can disconnect their Eight Sleep account and delete the app.
Users can disconnect in the app to clear locally stored credentials and session data.
Users can revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings or in Health permissions.
